We are a forum consisting entirely of parent carers/and relatives of disabled children/young people living in Southampton City.

This website is an independent information/advice/signposting source primarily for use by parent carers but will also act as an invaluable resource for professionals working with families in the city.

The Forum is run completely voluntarily by a group of parent carers.

  • We give relevant, timely, information/signposting/advice to parent carers of young people up to age 25
  • We act as parent representatives in meetings which help shape/develop children's services in Southampton with an emphasis on children with disabilities/special needs
  • We are independent of any local authority/NHS and here to represent parents' views
  • We are pan-disability and give information on all types of special need from dyslexia to profoundly disabled children/young people
  • We work closely with other agencies (but not for them) to get the best result for families in the city
