South Hampshire Deaf Children's Society

Originally called Southampton Deaf Children's Society, the group has now been helping deaf children and their families since it was started in 1960.

Our aims are:

• To offer support to all families with deaf children, irrespective of level of deafness or method of communication.
• Provide social activites where deaf children and their families can meet with each other.
• To ensure that families of deaf children have access to information about edcuation, technology and services.
• To campaign for the rights of deaf children.

• Are you having difficulties or have concerns athat your child is getting the right education.

• Want to know what environmental aidts your child might benefit from?

• Want to meet others who have been through what you are going through?

• All our Committee and Society Members are involved with deaf children, either as a parent, grandparent, other family member, or professionally.
