Services Offered: is a small Southampton Charity that provides for children with special needs aged from birth to 5 years and their families. We are an independent group that meets in the Community Rooms at Hardmoor Early Years Centre twice a week. We provide structured play, indoors and out, and also have access to the nursery's sensory room. We provide support, education and advice for the families.

Children come to Opportunity Group from all over the area, they, or their family, may have been referred by professionals or simply have heard about us. There may be learning, physical or health difficulties within the family, we provide for just about every area of need.

Parents/Carers may stay with their child during the session or leave the child with our staff as an opportunity for valuable 'respite'. Parents/Carers often value the opportunity to meet with others in similar, difficult circumstances and therefore often stay during the session to chat in the parents' room. We have good links with local health professionals and can provide a non-threatening environment for parents to meet with them.

We have a number of paid, professional staff, but also rely on our excellent volunteers.
