| Services Offered: | Referral Criteria
Anyone from 2½ years upwards registered with a GP in Southampton City and Hampshire (excluding central Eastleigh). Direct Access: Advice/treatment and information given directly to clients regarding wheelchair issues and support when already known to the service. Requests for repair and servicing can be made directly to the service by clients of the service in person, letter, phone or Fax. Indirect Access: A standard wheelchair is issued upon receipt of the appropriate paperwork from authorised staff. Non-standard wheelchairs are issued following clinical assessment. Referral Method Through authorised staff, i.e. occupational/physiotherapists, GPs and hospital trained staff. |
